Mindfulness and Queer Joy: Online Interpersonal Therapy Group for LGBTQ+ Adults
Many queer and trans people have learned to navigate a world that does not always affirm who they are. Experiences of discrimination, family rejection, cultural expectations, isolation, or trauma can leave lasting impacts on how we relate to ourselves and others.
Mindfulness and Queer Joy is an online interpersonal therapy group designed for LGBTQ+ adults seeking deeper connection, healing, and community. The group offers a supportive and affirming space to explore identity, relationships, belonging, emotional challenges, and personal growth alongside others who share similar experiences.
Unlike traditional support groups, interpersonal process groups focus on what happens in real-time between group members. Through reflection, dialogue, and mutual support, participants gain greater awareness of relational patterns, practice new ways of connecting, and experience the healing power of authentic relationships.
Group members will have opportunities to:
Explore the impact of minority stress, stigma, and trauma
Strengthen self-awareness and emotional insight
Develop healthier communication and relationship skills
Build confidence in expressing needs, feelings, and boundaries
Practice mindfulness and self-compassion
Experience deeper belonging and connection with others
Cultivate resilience, authenticity, and queer joy
Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or the effects of complex trauma, this group offers a space to be seen, supported, and understood.
